4th International Tenure Facility Learning Event on Community rights and Rights Resource
October 5, 2018 - October 7, 2018
This learning exchange is the fifth of its kind organized by the Tenure Facility and will bring together representatives from 9 different countries with Tenure Facility projects as well as the board and advisory group members, government officials and donors. Participants will have the opportunity to share lessons learned, discuss innovative strategies for securing land and forest tenure and provide recommendations for the future.
The Learning Exchange objectives are to:
- Learn about the progress and obstacles in accelerating the recognition of land and forest rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities (IPLC) in the world.
- Share approaches to implement and accelerate the recognition of land and forest rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities adopted by the projects supported by the Tenure Facility.
- Learn about innovations taking place in the projects of the Tenure Facility.
- Make recommendations to the projects and the Tenure Facility on methods to accelerate the recognition of rights.
These events will be held at the Indian School of Business (ISB) located at Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
